Our dog Grooming Philosophy
Our style of grooming is soft and natural, echoing our approach with all our dogs. We look to soften our styles yet when required we can achieve fantastic chiselled lines on terrier heads and top enviable lines on our gundogs and hand stripped coats. Regrowth is always key and the quality of our work is reflected in the longevity of the groom.
Our neat scissoring and attention to detail ensure styles last sometimes beyond recommended timescales so the quality of our work represents great value for money. We look at each dog individually and tailor our trims to bring out the best in them. We take into consideration all their attributes and seek to redefine shape, colour and texture of their coats as well as balancing the health needs of each pet with the length of trim that is appropriate to their lifestyle. We pay particular attention to ears, eyes and all areas that require maintaining so you can enjoy your pet having the peace of mind that they have been groomed with love and even more importantly correctly.
In over a decade of grooming most breeds have crossed our path and we have had the benefit of perfecting our trims over time to bring out the best in all our dogs from choosing the most suitable shampoo and product for your pet to evaluating trim length and suitability to lifestyle. We choose the correct methods for each breed and have adapted our knowledge in producing stunning cross designer breed trims too. Experts in natural grooming our work reflects experienced scissoring and clipping techniques.
All our dogs are health checked and you’ll have the opportunity to weigh your pet and keep track of their weight during grooming visits. This is all recorded on your personal appointment card that is also a Loyalty Card where you have the opportunity to collect stamps on a range of products & services.
Grooming is not a quick procedure for any dog most have a lot more hair than us! So that must be taken into consideration when thinking about having your dog groomed. Thorough preparation is key to the finished trim so please allow between 2- 3 hrs. depending on breed. Handstripping appointments require more time and so timescales will vary. Nails and Ear Cleaning are included Anal Expression is offered only if needed and will be charged in addition to the groom price.

Thank you as always for looking after my Daisy’s needs, Tibetan coats can be a nightmare and yet you sort her out each time, she comes away beautifully groomed, happy, relaxed and smelling sweet!
Somehow, since seeing you, her coat never seems to matt anymore. By the way, thank you so very much for your advice on her skin condition. The spray you suggested and washes worked a treat and she’s all better now thank goodness. Thank you again as always, see you in October
Thank you SO much ( and also to your lovely staff ) for all the skill, time and patience you showed our “Romanian rescue dogs” yesterday with their first grooming session. They looked absolutely wonderful afterwards and smelt “divine” ……… !! What a relief …. haha!
